The Hobsons Bay City Council manages four venues that are used as performing arts spaces. They include the Williamstown Town Hall which provides a significant concert venue, The Williamstown Mechanics Institute an intimate fringe venue, the Old Laverton School which adapts to small scale performances and the Altona Theatre which is purpose built as a theatre.

Hobsons Bay City Council is proud to present an exciting and eclectic performing arts season for 2012.

 

This year’s program features 10 performances across four of our cultural venues, including comedy, ballet, children’s theatre, burlesque cabaret, school choirs, a piano trio and, following the huge success in 2011, we welcome the Melbourne Chamber Orchestra back in 2012.

 

Hobsons Bay is known across Melbourne’s west as a hub for art and culture and we are proud to support arts in the west. Talented artists, wonderful festivals and beautiful venues all contribute to, and draw inspiration from, this rich and diverse community.

 

 

Hobsons Bay City Council continues to support the arts and we feel certain  that the 2012 Arts at Your Doorstep will entertain our diverse community, as well as visitors to our great city.
