Hobsons Bay City Council manages four venues that are utilised as performing arts spaces. The Williamstown Town Hall provides the western region with a significant concert venue, an intimate fringe venue is part of the Williamstown Mechanics Institute, the historic Old Laverton School in Altona Meadows adapts to small scale performances and the Altona Theatre is purpose built for theatrical use.

With an already thriving community theatre scene, 2008 sees the launch of Hobsons Bay City Council’s Performing Arts Season Journeys. With nine shows throughout the year across our venues, there may well be a show for everyone.
